Continuing Education

Pursuant to the approval of changes to the Mississippi Board of Dental Examiners Regulations, dental hygienists in Mississippi are allowed to administer local anesthesia to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist after completing the requirements listed in Regulation 13. If you are a dental hygienist interested in taking the local anesthesia course at UMMC, please email dentalhygiene@umc.edu with your contact information, and we will respond with course details.
